Residents in the city of Saskatoon, which is located in central Saskatchewan, Canada can now find their favorite food trucks whenever they have a craving. One tech company has made it possible for people to go on their website smackmap.com and find food trucks around the city.
GPS trackers were offered and placed inside food trucks, and with a flip of a switch the GPS trackers will be turned on and be visible up on a Google Map integrated within the smaknap.com website. Once the GPS tracker has been turned off, it will show up on the map as that particular food truck being closed for the day.
This article is a perfect example of how GPS trackers go hand in hand with a tracking platform in order to actually locate a specific item.
